Day 19

9:22 pm
A glimpse into Isabel's new room...Gran Gran and I made the new comforter today...and it's being enjoyed by both Beli and Milo!
The flash from the camera only woke her up once...oops...
Hopefully, I'll get around to finishing up the room soon!

Day 17

Well, that was fast...no picture for today.
I took my camera out and got ready to take a picture of the girls painting their nails...and then something happened so I put the camera down...and didn't pick it up for the rest of the day.

So just imagine, 3 little girls, all sitting on the bathroom floor in their pj's painting their fingernails and toenails various shades of red and green...just in time for Christmas.

Day 15

Super excited girls checking out their (almost finished) new school in the 46 degree weather.
Only 5 days left at their old school.

Day 14

So, my new 50mm lens is broken...yes, already! Thankfully, since I just bought it, it's still under warranty so I need to send it off to be fixed. That lens was kind of the whole point of this blog.
Bummer.

Since the lens wont focus on anything, it actually works perfect for tonight's project...bokeh shapes!

Day 11

I have to try the whole Christmas Tree Lights shot again when I have more time...this one is super grainy...but it shows the girls' personalities perfectly!

Day 10

No matter how many times I've asked the girls not to play on the stairs (someone always gets hurt going up or down...and it's usually me), it's still one of their favorite places to hang out.

Day 9

So, I wonder what the rule is on these 365 day blogs surrounding multiple pictures. Since I don't know, I'm making up my own rules...
2 pictures made the cut for today!

Lucky Girls...Lucky Daddy!

Day 8

So typical...the girls' Christmas present arrived and Isabel spent forever trying to figure out what's inside.
She'll never guess!

Day 7

New Bangs!
For the first time in her 6 years of life.

(Btw, I keep trying to get some pics of Isabel, but she hasn't wanted her picture taken. I think her cold is getting worse, so maybe I can sneak a picture while she's taking a nap...because we need more sleeping/sick pics in this blog!)

Day 6

Not exactly what I had in mind for this blog, but this is our life.
After an IV and some medication, she's feeling a bit better.

Our sick little beauty...hanging out at the toilet, just in case.

Day 3

This is what happens when I leave to deliver cupcakes, Daddy is asleep and the bowl of leftover frosting is left on the counter.

Day 1

I've been wanting to start the whole 365 project for a long time...probably ever since people started doing it. But taking pictures every day for a year seemed like a daunting task. Now that I'm trying to improve my photography skills and I've started getting into the whole editing process, I figured this would be a good way to practice what I read about every day.

Also, I'm hoping it will be a great place to try out some different editing techniques. There are so many way to edit pictures these days and I tend to usually go in the same direction for consistency, but hopefully here I can play it up a bit. (Just last night I learned how to add bokeh to the background of pictures...so cool!)

I don't really have any expectations about what kind of pictures I'll take for this blog...I'll just take it day by day.

So, here we go...let's see if I can keep up with this!
This girl loves to read...she'll read anything, even the back of the fruit snacks box.

I edited this picture with a bunch of different RadLab filters to give it a dreamy effect.
Have I mentioned how fun RadLab is!?!
